The customer owns the service entrance equipment on their home or business. If this equipment is damaged, the customer is responsible for repairing it. Repairs to damaged service entrance equipment need to be made before power can be restored. See Maintaining Your Service and the illustration below for details.
The customer is responsible for removing and disposing of any fallen limbs and trees along with any other debris due to storm damage or Ameren’s power restoration efforts. Ameren storm restoration crews will trim and remove trees and branches only to the extent necessary to restore electrical service. Find more information on Trees & Your Service.
