Ameren Environmental Report
Ameren firmly supports mandates that will result in meaningful greenhouse gas reductions. However, effective climate policy must balance the benefits to the environment against the potential for significant damage to the economy. In a Dec. 14, 2007 release, the company announced it had published a comprehensive report that
	details how Ameren companies have worked over the past two decades to cut power plant emissions in advance of regulatory mandates.
	covers how Ameren intends to address the need to reduce greenhouse gas (principally carbon dioxide) emissions.
	outlines how  the company is working to balance social, economic and environmental factors with the need to deliver effective energy solutions.
The company will actively participate in the climate change policy debates. This report is another step in our dialogue with our various stakeholders.
