Jill J. Hartsock

Jill Hartsock is a business development executive in Ameren Corporation’s Economic Development Department.

She is responsible for developing and implementing business development programs to attract, expand and retain industries in Ameren service territory. She is a resource to the business development executives in their efforts to assist prospective businesses seeking new location and investment opportunities. Jill is the coordinator of Partners in Development - an economic development assistance tool that helps communities enhance their ability to attract new business and industry.

Jill is also the Ameren administrator for the LocationOne Information System (LOIS). LOIS is an on-line searchable database providing detailed information on properties and locations for businesses looking to expand. Jill provides training and support to economic development professionals utilizing LOIS.

Jill is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education. She joined Illinois Power Company (now AmerenIP) in 1978 and has held positions in customer relations, legislative affairs, information technology, marketing, and community relations.

Jill has been involved with economic development since joining Illinois Power’s economic development department in 1989. She is a 1993 graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. She has been a member of several Illinois regional and multi-state economic development organizations and is currently a member of the Illinois Development Council.

Jill resides in Decatur, Illinois, with her husband Ron.
