In 2007, the Ameren Community Development Corporation (AmerenCDC) completed its sixth and final economic development grant cycle, awarding $1,200,000 in funding for 14 new projects designed to stimulate community and economic development, create new jobs or retain existing jobs in AmerenUE’s 20,000-square-mile service area.
Missouri’s first utility-based economic development company to operate exclusively across AmerenUE’s retail electric service area, AmerenCDC was created as part of a 2002 electric rate case settlement approved by the Missouri Public Service Commission.
