The 28-foot boat, which was retired from the resort’s rental fleet, will be used primarily from the 20- to 30-mile markers in cleanup zones 4, 5 and 6. Adopt-the-Shoreline is sponsored by AmerenUE, but cleanups are performed entirely be volunteers. Green says the 3,000-pound capacity of this boat will very important in helping to carry shoreline debris picked up by the volunteers to disposal facilities.
