AmerenUE purchased $3,000 worth of materials and donated them Friday, June 27, to flood victims in Winfield where residents were forced to evacuate because of a broken levee. In addition, AmerenUE purchased sand for the city of St. Charles and offered parking areas for farm vehicles at its Sioux Power Plant in Portage Des Sioux. The company rented generators for Portage Des Sioux to help with fighting the flood waters.
